Well, one should listen when the picture of their butt is talking. Good luck with banishing the minions...they can be very tenacious. You are tougher and dedicated enough to make the necessary changes.

Yup the photo is cruel to see but hopefully the next one will be a great boost for you, to compare with that unkindly revealing one your daughter took. The longer you stay strong (no waffle licking) the easier it will become :p

I hope all is going well with your sugar fast and you're still one track. I have huge carb addiction problems, some foods are just too difficult to resist. Pizza is a big one for me, I have a really hard time sticking to a reasonable portion so I'm trying to avoid it all together. Once you get into that routine and break those cravings life will get a whole lot easier. PS- I too have a before pic from the beginning of this month that I'm madly in disgust with.

Sugar Addiction is real...it hits the same pleasure centers of the brain as Cocaine. When your brain wants that high, it sends you to what it knows will provide it. Just like any addiction, you have to quit...period. Seeing as Sugar/Carbs/Glucose is what makes you fat....well, that would be the one to quit. Question is...if you quit the sugar/carbs, what are you replacing that energy source with?

sugar addiction is so tough. It took me 4 days to beat the physical addiction and I still struggle with the mental part 5 months later. I think it will be a lifelong battle for me and must be constantly aware and focused. I wish you all the best with that horrible beast.

If it helps, you have support. I think I'm a sugar addict and have given it up. It gets easier but the temptation is always there. I find protein helps curb the cravings.

@14toGo.... 58% of Protein is converted to Glucose, which explains why it helps to curb the cravings.

I went through carb withdrawals when I reduced my carb intake. Just reduced, I didn't even eliminate them! I was grumpy, tired, and had big headaches. Push through whatever comes your way, though! You can do it!
