I realized I need to change my thinking. I like to workout in the morning, but this week I've had to babysit my nephews. So I was like I'll just work out next week, but in reality I could have worked out in the evening. Or at least go for a walk with my dog. My eating hasn't been to bad. I've really impressed myself with staying away from pop! I thought I'd crave it more than I do.

The longer you stay away the easier it gets!

I used to be a Mountain Dew freak. I could live without food, but not my Dew (or so I thought). I actually told my doctor this. Her response was, "There is no other way to get to the goals you have in mind. You have to make up your mind which one you'd rather have, your goals or your Mt. Dew. The choice is yours, but not only will you not obtain these goals you are headed for diabetes." Those words changed my life. I have now not had soda in about 2 1/2 years, and don't miss it one bit. I honestly don't think I could have kicked the addiction without the keto diet tho. Keto saved my life! Giving a sugar addict a small amount of sugar and telling them. "Ok that's all you can have for the day or the week" is like giving a cocaine addict a line of cocaine and telling them the same thing and it being readily available like sugar is. Sugar addiction is real! Sugar stimulates the brain the same way that cocaine does. Watch the link I shared yesterday about sugar addiction. Nice job on making changes! :)

Totally with Jenny on this. I was addicted to sugar, but mine was in the form of cereal and super rich breads. I didn't realize how bad my habits were until I started keto. Before when I would get hungry in the middle of the night I would just go eat rolls or plain pieces of bread. Keto was definitely a life-changing move and now the thought of eating any other way isn't attractive at all.
