Patchizz's Journal, 19 March 2024

Happy Tuesday friends. Have to say I’m really pumped about finding this site. To not be alone in this challenge. To share our struggles as well as our accomplishments is going to be a real help in my progress as I’m sure it is with all of you. And YES, it is a challenge!! Today for the first time, I made something and measured by grams everything that went in it to calculate the calories. What a job!!! On one hand it is rewarding to know what I am consuming (calories and nutrition wise) but on the other hand, just to think I have to do that with every meal that isn’t on the list is shear dread. 😳

Diet Calendar Entry for 19 March 2024:
2632 kcal Activities & Exercise: Stair Climber (Stepper) - 1 hour, Resting - 15 hours, Sleeping - 8 hours. more...

you can do it. Measuring food just becomes a habit after a couple weeks. I don't bother measuring basic vegetables like cucumbers, tomatoes, the ones that are mostly water and hardly have any calories.also I don't count my liquid intake.

hi Patchizz! Once you get the hang of this site, you can add new items/ingredients. A little tip when looking for a certain food, try using the manufacture's name: ie. Great Value tuna or Unico kidney beans, Tim Horton's donut. If I find an item and it's nutritional content is way off, I figured out how to change/update the item...but I'm techie like that LoL I've also had to Google conversions of grams to cups/ounces, ml to teaspoons/tablespoons. I learned measurements long before Canada went metric! LoL

Thank you everyone for all of your encouragement and tips. It really does make the journey more exciting. I’m just the worst for organization,,, so hate to admit my shortcomings. 🤦🏼‍♀️

I often eat a lot of the same recipes. Once they are input into the app, it is so easy to just repeat the meal.
