I am at about the same place as you, 153 lbs today after nearly fasting for 2 days this week (minus liquid diet) and dropping from 156. I started FS at 145 lbs hoping to drop to 137, which was my last pre-COVID weigh-in. And I used to think being 131lbs was "chunky" at age 25.... What I wouldn't give to be 135 lbs even, again, and feel good about showing off my waist!
All that to say, we're in this together!

For me, it's not bowling balls, it's gallons of milk. 8 pounds per gallon, so I think in terms of strapping a couple of those on my back

Misty yeh it still blows my mind when I look at a 4lb bag of sugar and realize I’ve lost 6 of those in the last 18mos. Or over 2 ten lb sack of potatoes. It’s weird because I don’t think I feel that much difference but it’s definitely there

Well, I've lost two 50 pound bags of potting soil that I carried around for about 15 years; that is really difficult to envision, but it's true. I'll never pick them up again, not ever!

You're funny! Bowling balls are heavy. I think of it as losing a whole person 🤣

You got this and you are doing great; just because it’s slow going at this moment doesn’t change anything, just try your best and it will happen. Keep it up and by all means don’t be discouraged; man my first week I was here I lost 8lbs, the second I think 3lbs, then I stalled and got down; there were people here that lifted me up and got me motivated and back on track. Look at now 3 months later 33lbs lighter and loving everything about live and exercising again; after being a couch potato for 6 years.

Mistybenner you are correct we all here are on this journey together, my journey hasn’t been easy either, I struggled weeks 2-4; after realizing that I needed to tweek my diet and stay in a deficit and exercise daily ie walking 5-10 miles a day; with an average weekly walk of 7 miles; I finally started loosing and hitting numbers that were to some impressive, but I’m not doing this to impress or receive accolades and atta boy recognition. I am doing this to get healthy and for me.

Thx Mistybenner, I appreciate that.

I like the analogies, too. My hubby tells me I should try carrying a ten pound weight to realize how much it is. Then I would feel better about the accomplishment of losing those ten pounds. Lol

Mistybenner I actually hit my goals today; ended the day with 5.7 miles walked, 13,000+ steps, and active calories burned 1235. Calorie intake is 1056; total calories burned 3700 so far today and tonight. So I’m not giving up; just need to stay focused on my ultimate goal and that is to loose a grand total of 115lbs.
