Any suggestions for how I can get more protein in my diet without adding a bunch of sodium? My problem is in my mind protein=meat. I am a CARNIVORE. But most meats (especially sandwich meats and beef jerky, my favs) are loaded with sodium. Besides your run-of-the-mill unsalted nuts, chicken breasts cooked with other spices/herbs, etc... any really unique ideas? I'm running low here lol. Everything I read says legumes, lentils, nuts, etc.

how about egg whites? cheese? tofu? fish? whey protein? Those are just a few ideas, I know the brilliant minds around here can give you some more.

String cheese, yogurt, high protein cereal (like kashi), soy protein. Walmart has protein drinks for 110 calories and 17 grams of protein. They come in chocolate vanilla and strawberry. I think they are called EAS, but you find them with all the fitness/diet stuff. There are also some good protein bars. You just have to look at the calories/protein/sodium on them.

try vegetable protien, you can get it at most health food stores. It doesn't really look like much, but it is a complete protein. I also reccommend quinoa..it is another complete protein source..plus fiber. good luck!
