elw. Yes most of my food is bland. I add table salt since I don’t get enough sodium otherwise. Salt has been villainized in the health community and rightfully so with additives and processed foods. But when you cook 100% of your meals from garden to dairy it makes sense for me to add. My blood levels are always great when testing yearly. Talk to your doctor obviously about how much salt is best for you.

That makes a lot of sense Ken! My parents are healthy eaters, but don't add salt to many things...only to fresh foods, like you are saying. If they are using canned vegetables, pasta sauces, anything of that sort, they no longer add additional salt because companies add so much to begin with now. They prefer always eating fresh, but don't always have time during the week and sometimes have to use canned. I like learning from everyone here...all the knowledge and tips have really helped!
