I was similar to you and thought 187 lbs was my goal (down from 211, or 24 lbs). But I went ahead and shot for 175 lbs (or 36 lbs weight loss). I am now 170 lbs with a 4” shorter waistline. My belly is mostly flat (still a little pouch). Note I was 145 lbs in HS and most of college when I was rail skinny. Anyway, I suggest you try for 170-175 lbs based on my experience. I think you will find it worth the effort.

Chris thanks for the suggestion and I think my absolute lowest would be 180 only because my face and neck really show the weight loss and to be honest it doesn’t “look” healthy even though it might “be” healthy. My doctor has said my healthiest weight is 185 with variation of 180 low to 190 high. I’ve read medical reviews on keeping visceral fat into old age because the studies show longer life for those that have bmi between 25.5-27. As long as my cholesterol levels are good and other levels I’ve struggled with are good…I’m going to try to maintain. Maybe spring I will attempt 180 when golf season gets here
