My enthusiasm is less than stellar this morning. In fact you could say I am dragging myself into my day. Why you might inquire? Me too.

1. Sleep was restless last night ... strange dreams.
2. I am feeling very overwhelmed and unorganized with my "hopes" regarding my business.
3. I stepped on the scale and it read 212 this morning. One day. Only one day I did not "count" calories ... on Sunday and I am up 3 lbs. Really?
4. I have a very busy day ahead of me and would rather just crawl back into bed.

I did exercise this morning. I did track my food well yesterday and exercised. I am drinking water.

Anyway ... today is just a day ...

Grateful I should be and am for ...

1. Others who believe in me more than I believe in myself.
2. Thrift stores.
3. Baby turkeys.
4. Cottage cheese.
5. New bars I found at the health food store to try.

Have a good day ... I'm going to find my kindness and my positive attitude if its the last thing I do today!!!

I too am starting some new business endeavors and confidence is tough.It's So easy to feel inadequate. But we aren't- we are capable , bright, loving people who have something magnificent to share. Let's be brave. So easy to write and hard to do...baby steps on every front apparently!!

I think you should go back to recording your weight often. I know you do at home but maybe on here it means something else to you. Record it, we all hate the ugly numbers but its a way to 'hang it up' and walk away from it! I love thrift stores, but I am a little upset I haven't found a desk to remodel right now! lol oh and Moose, I believe in you!

Thanks girls ... much appreciated. I'm not sure how posting my weight more frequently here on FS would help ... but I'll consider it. I MUST tell you though I discover 2 new bars I am in love with!!! I found them at the health food market ... one is thinkThin - Mixed Nuts and the other one I tried was one of the Larabars ... Coconut Creme Pie ... OH MY GOSH!!! Dangerously tasty but surely fewer ingredients I could not pronounce ... less or "better" sugars ... and gluten free.

3 pounds, 1 day not counting.... water weight. lol its my answer for almost everything but honestly girl there is no one in one day of NOT counting you gained 3 pounds. Now don't get me wrong I get your frustration (more than you know I am sure) but keep doing what you are doing, have you taken your measurements? They may have changed even if the scale went up or didn't change. In the long run will you remember the day you went up 3 pounds? yeah probably not so don't stress over it. I am not a fan of weighing everyday, or recording everyday but if that is what it is gonna take to get you back on the wagon by all means do it. For me I find putting the scale away for a month or so every now and then and concentrating on ME, not a number really helps my mind (I know thats not for everyone). I am currently on Day 18 of 31 of not weighing myself and it is killing me but it has been a nice break.

Thanks Pix and Jannine. I haven't measured. I figure my clothes are good enough measurements. I know how things fit. I don't really think it is possibly I gained 3 lbs from Sunday but it just is disheartening. I'm NOT over eating. I am trying to up my protein and decrease carbs and mix up what I eat but so far ... no big difference. Thanks for the encouragement though ... it is much appreciated. I am trying hard to be more "in the moment" and focus on health (I'm long and lean, tall and strong) and be kind to myself. It ain't for sissies!!! LOL!!

OK, with all your experiences what made you think things were going to be easy :) You're a strong, capable, professional woman and a number on the scale does not define who you are (Oh that I could believe that about me too) Find that balance and positive attitude and keep smiling and being kind to yourself.

Carol I wanted to comment earlier. Things are a bit chaotic here. Now I'm here, and I don't know what to say, I don't have the right words...I'll try though lol! Please don't be discouraged. I read on FB you might be sick so it explains about the weight that won't come down, your mood and the fact that you're so tired. About the changes you're doing on your diet, do not expect any instant results. Your body needs to adapt, it will take a couple of weeks minimum, maybe three or four. But this is great you give it a try, what is one month if at the end you get the result you want? And if not, then you'll know for sure that it is not the right way for you. Love you Moose hang in there!!
