Thanks Foody and Moko. Just hope I can get an X-Ray scheduled. If not, my own doctor will be back Monday and I'll make an appointment to see him. It's impossible to just stay off my feet and see if the knee will heal. Yesterday I had to vacuum about half the house and also cleaned out a 2 nd litter box (did one the day before). That involves going done porch steps and walk ing to the side of the house to was with soap and a garden hose. I am getting in 3000-4000 steps while trying to stay off my feet.

You may need an MRI rather than just an Xray

I agree, you need an MRI you could have a meniscus out of place! 🙏🏻

Thanks Kenna and 385. My doctors tell me they have to start with an X-Ray before insurance will authorize further tests

Prayers for you to feel better soon

Thanks Buenita, the sleeve may be helping. I only wore it for about 2 hours because it is so tight. I'm thinking it will probably stretch out. The pain isn't bad unless I step wrong on the stairs. Mostly it's just a constant ache which I am learning to ignore.

Saranchris, thank you for your prayers. I'm sure it will all work out once my own doctor is back in his office

Thanks redrose, I actually went to a store that sells running shoes on the advice of my physical therapist last year when I was dealing with leg pain and bought a really good pair of walking shoes. I've noticed my calves often ache when I do quick walks in some cheaper shoes. I wore the good shoes on my most recent walks. Good idea though!

Fritzy22, I hardly think 💬 that you are whining you are in pain. It's not getting much better and you said it's getting worse 😔 honestly I am concerned and your doctor should be too. It really shouldn't be a hard ask to get a basic X-ray. When I went to get my X-rays done for the rheumatologist it took 10 minutes when it was my turn and they took me back or less. If your insurance is willing to pay for it I don't understand. It might be different if it had happened, but at this point the problem is obviously not going away. I hope you are able to find some resolutions to this issue soon you shouldn't have to live in pain or worse be causing further damage and living in pain without having to. Good luck 🤞.

Thanks Leah, that's nice of you. I woke up about 10 days ago (October 30) and could t put any weight on my right knee. I have never had knee issues so thought maybe I had sort funny or something and that it would get better. I even took short walks for a couple of days before figuring that was causing more problems. So I called my doctor's office and was told he was gone until the 13th. So I asked to see another doctor. She examined the knee, it wasn't red or swollen but she suggested an X-Ray. I should have said yes then, but I knew the X-Ray would probably just show arthritis. So I asked if it might get better with rest. She said it could, but if it didn't then to come back and either see her or my regular doctor. So I messed up originally. When I called to say I wanted the X-Ray and also recommendations for a brace apparently she only got the message about the brace. Her office called back about the knee sleeve or brace and I asked again if they would schedule the Xray. No response even after a 2nd call. Right now I'll just wait and try to see my doctor next week. I think the knee sleeve is actually helping. Not enough for me to take the dog for a walk but the pain isn't all that bad.
