Losing ambition. Hungry almost all the time. Still going to the gym 4 to 5 times per week for about an hour each session. I'm contemplating revisiting a low carb, high protein eating regimen. This has worked well in the past except after about 8 months the food choices became old to the point where I couldn't stand the site of some of it (mainly beans). Went to see a "skinny" doctor this past week. He wants $500 for his plan. I did not see anything in his plan that I could not do myself. I think I'll keep my money instead of giving it to him. I'm not giving up but I'm in a tough spot right now. I'll figure it out some how.

Hey, I saw your post and I definitely feel for you. I hate that feeling when you're trying to lose weight but you're tired all the time and hungry on top of it. I looked at your previous entries and it looks like you were eating 1500 calories, but you weren't tracking anything. How many calories are you eating now? Also, have you tried tracking all of your food? Great job on sticking to the working out, keep that up.

Just wanted to leave you a little encouragement. . You can do this! I do well watching my calorie count. I try to stay between 1200 and 1500 calories, sometimes I am over and sometimes I am under. But I track my food religiously and I give myself permission to eat ANYTHING. Just not all of everything, know what I mean? That may be too low a calorie count for you. The point is to find something that gets you headed in the downward direction but you can sustain and live with. My husband who also is a type two diabetic and is 53 just lost at least 30 pounds by eating very low carb, lots of meat, nuts and leafy salad type of veggies. He ate all he cared to eat of any of those things and nothing else. Lots of people here have experience with that Way of Eating and can help advise you if you want it. He lost another 25 worrying about a prostate biopsy, I don't recommend that! But I think you are right about keeping your money and continuing to try here. I was referred to a bariatric doc and there is no way I was doing that, so I tried here. Its been slow but fairly steady process. For me tracking was the key. Good luck!
