Up and at em at 6 am and by 6:30AM I was walking. Spent 45 mins and got 2.75 miles in again. No sock issues as I had new socks on this morning so no funny gate. Warmer too, no shivering til I warmed up. Near 7k steps for the start of the day. I think I am off to a good start. Today we are finishing packing the van for the trip and packing the kids stuff up preparing them for my SIL and other than that we will just enjoy the day have a cookout consisting of grilled country ribs, cole slaw, brussel sprouts, onion, peppers and mushrooms and baked taters for the kiddos. Tomorrow we will go shopping for things we can try an maintain low carb while trapped in a hotel for a week. They rarely provide meals for the convention that would be close to on plan for me as a lot of it is sandwiches, chips and goodies that are not things I will even consider unless it is a only choice. That and save money as this is a trip to make $$. We park the van upon arrival and do not leave. Which is further limiting. Daily sales start at 9 am and we do not close up wil 9-10 pm every night. I am open to ideas that require no refrigeration as the hotel charges to get a mini fridge in the room as they are not a staple in the place and we stay on premises to protect our investments. Almonds, nuts, pork rinds, beef stick, jerky, some fresh fruit is ok.... so much salt in all that UGH!

How about cans? Corned beef? I can't think of anything else! My eating is almost opposite to yours! I guess you would need fat bombs too .....

Precooked bacon requires no fridge.
- pepperoni
- salami
- tuna
- salmon cups( found in tuna section )
- pickle packs
- canned hearts of palm
- summer sausage
- pork rinds
- canned chicken
Bring mayo packets for the canned meat/fish and make a chicken/tuna salad. (I copied some of this list from online. There are a lot of people who asked about it.

You can also pack a cooler in the van and refill the ice using hotel ice. Boiled eggs and prepackaged cheese would work well for that.

I would pay a little extra for the fridge - your health and well-being are priceless!

Hampton Inn and Fairfield Inn usually have fridge microwave standard. What Mike and I always do when we travel. Tough being vegan on the road. Cooler standard travel equipment. Fork in purse also standard. Sea food fork. Classy fork of course. My "dress fork". Whip out fork. Amaze astound waitresses. Forks from Ebay. :)

I bring Josephs flax pita breads and almond butter on trips and some Zhen a gypsy tea in caramel chai. That pretty much covers any sweet or carb cravings and can be a satisfying snack at the end of the day .

did i mention 3 different hotels one on each driving end and then the 4 nights at convention. ANd thanks for all the suggestions. We have also met with being unable to get a fridge before. cooler is in the mix just so much sodium in stuff. :P I will get it all figured out we are not too far from a grocery store and i do have friends that would give me a lift. Almost forgot I will get to see mom too on Saturday, she can take me! :D

Addie MIM's are low carb muffin in a minute. Microwavable muffins that you can add lots of flavor variants to, which also can help up your fiber content if you are low carb or LCHF.
