Don't know why I never thought to do this before. Instead of saving the cauliflower leaves for my coworker's chickens, I cleaned them up and had my husband use them in a tofu stir fry. They were nice and crisp and tasty

I have never tried the leaves! Sounds yummy though!

They really were good. Don't know how to describe them -- maybe a bit like cabbage. I'm definitely doing this again

Good idea! Stir fries and soups are the best dishes to experiment with veggies!

Very smart, I like the idea of using the whole product, less waste. Like the 'nose to tail' for carnivores but with veggies!

oh, and tofu? I recently got an air fryer and now tofu and I are great friends!

I often eat tofu and also use it as a hidden ingredient in spaghetti sauce, smoothies, scrambled eggs.

Since I'd call myself a plant-dominant omnivore, tofu is a staple at my house. Yep, Kenna, it's great in smoothies and other foods. What I love about it is how it is so neutral and can take on whatever flavor you want it to be. Zanly - I'm beginning to realize that so many of those veggie greens I used to save for the chickens are awesome as long as they're in good shape. Radish greens... yum! Don't have an air fryer, or the space for it, but we've gotten pretty good about getting it cooked nice and crispy without resorting to full-out deep frying or anything. BB - glad you like it, and thanks for stopping by, my friend! moko - yep, we are really big on soups and stir fries in our house. So flexible. Jams -- yes, indeed, it was. Rush -- not a fan, or are you saying it looks good? Without punctuation, hard to determine 100%, but based on the hot dog, I'm guessing you're not a fan, lol. It's not everyone's cup of tea. Nor are hot dogs.

Kenna, which tofu do you use in scrambled eggs? I've only ever purchased the extra firm - my personal favourite.
11 Aug 23 by member: Zanly
Zanly I use extra firm and still press out as much moisture as I can

Sautéed radish leaves are a favorite of mine.

I was saying the plate of food looked yummy. Rush? Maybe my phone is making it's own comments? Ha!

Omg! I scrolled through the other replies to find that you were addressing a member named: Rush. 😳 I seriously thought my phone was listening to me elsewhere and making a comment here! Hahaha! I think my congestion is limiting the amount of oxygen going to my poor brain. Summer colds are NOT fun:-(

Hope you get over your cold, Jams! Yeah, that one was for Rush, although given the cryptic text and lack of punctuation, I wasn't 100% certain of intent. A comma can make soooo much difference: "Let's eat, Grandma!" vs "Let's eat Grandma!" 🤣🤣🤣

Thank you! I'm feeling a bit better today and gladly accept any improvement:-) You're so right about the difference a simple comma can make. Let's definitely, Not, "eat," Grandma! 🌞
