GC dumb question maybe but what happens to all the farm animals when temps get like that? I remember thinking how decadent Tammy Faye and Jim Bakker (baker?) were to have AC for their dog house but now it makes so much sense.

YOH, there aren’t a lot of farm animals around lol.
It’s a dessert so not much for them to eat either.
For the few horses abs cows in the dairy region, they have some shade coverings I think for them to lay under and keep out lots of water for them.
That’s about it. Poor animals.

That’s harsh. I seen a TikTok where they leave a cast iron pan outside in Arizona then they add some oil and fried an egg 😂

When it gets around 120 they usually have to shut the air port down because the tarmac is so hot it starts melting so the runway gets slippery and the tires on the planes can explode from the heat when landing.
The runway surface is waaaayy over 120 when the ambient temp is around 120.
