Yearofhealth2023's Journal, 09 May 2023

I’m forcing myself to put both of these very scary pictures up as a reminder of where i was at last June and where i am at as of a couple weeks ago. Both pictures are scary for me to put up. I feel like i need a pictorial reminder of how unhealthy i allowed myself to be and the damage that extra weight has left me with in terms of skin laxity and how much healthier that i not only feel but i think i look healthier. This is a little terrifying for me and truly hope I don’t offend anyone.

My cats follow me a lot. Always have. And when they feel bad they are more followy. Just cuddles and security is good. She's probably anxious.

well done, you have nothing to be ashamed or apologetic about! inspirational 👍

Shazo thank you for the kind words. I’m not ashamed I’m mad at myself for giving up years ago. 8 years i was trapped by pain and immobility not knowing what was exactly wrong with me. Inaccurate diagnosis i lived with not knowing. So I’m mad at myself. Apologetic as i dont want to offend anyone with a lingerie pic. But turns out it is so blurry so maybe thats a good thing😜

5 years ago when my mom was terminal i told her i would take better care of my health so i would not leave my daughter at such a young age. My mom was 76 and spent most of her life eating just sugar items and tomato soup. She wouldn’t excercise. She wasn’t really overweight but had so many health problems that could have been helped by good nutrition an excercise. She was 5’8 when younger maybe 5’6 at her passing and barely over 110-115m pounds. Skin and bones. She would still be here if she had worked on her health 20 years ago. I miss her. It took me 5 years to honor my words to her. To anyone else who reads this be aware of the people who love you so much and the pain that is left behind when food ruins your health. I’m a sugar addict. It’s a battle IVE had with myself for 45 years of my 59 years. Started by trauma and hard to change. I wish all of you out there strength courage and self love.

How did you lose all that weight? Exercise ? Diet? Did you change your way of eating or just watch portions?

WOW! These pics are so inspirational. I lost over 100 lbs myself in 2014 but regained it, through a mixture of illness, complacency, and a weakness for ice cream. Trying to get back on track now. Thank you for sharing your journey!

She’s a little drug addict, she ate up her pain meds willfully... lol n she loves getting high on catnip. Try cropping your picture into a square before hand. That’s what I do. I always thought people posting blurry pictures was using flip phones 😂
