DRL5's Journal, 08 April 2015

Just have to share my little success story! I signed up to bake for our historical society meeting tonight. I baked 3 dozen peanut butter cookies and a pan of brownies. I didn't even lick the spoon before sticking the brownie bowl in the sink to rinse! I filled it with water asap! I didn't taste the cookie dough, nor eat any of the bakery once it was done. I packed it up and got it out of the house! This may sound like a silly thing to celebrate, but if you only knew how hard this was for me, you'd understand! Especially the smell of chocolate...luscious, dark chocolate that beckoned to me. But no, I resisted its evil calories disguised in tempting sweetness. This is week four of NO chocolate...and I am not going back to that addiction:)

That is what I call will power. I would have had to at least lick the spoon. Keep up the good work!!

That really takes will power, to cook for others and not eat it yourself. A great victory in your weight loss journey!

As a baker, I know what an incredible victory that was! I have stopped baking for the most part because I cannot be trusted to behave as admirably as you did. Good for you. :)

Good job!! That's awesome :) The actual baked goods do not tempt me nearly as much as the dough - lol!
