Lifted from my Bio:

I ballooned to 325-328 pounds after a motorcycle accident and stress from taking care of my parents until their passing, now I'm trying to get down not only for knee surgery by my over all well being and self esteem.

So far in the 7 months I've been working with a weight-loss clinic and joining here I've dropped to what you all see me logging now.

Once in the 'solid green' range, Even though I'm at a weight the ortho-surgeon says he can work with, I can get my twisted and maimed up knee fixed and be rid of so much pain I can actually sleep at night with out drugs...

wish me luck...

I can relate to the knee pain and not sleeping! I had my right knee replaced in 2002. It was the best decision ever. Good luck with both the knee and the diet. I'm working on the latter as well.

Good luck Jerry. I hope it works for you. I have a similar issue but instead of the knee I had two back surgeries. I was up to 230 lbs. I got with a weight clinic and now my weight is down to 185. On my way to 175. I did it once already so I believe you can do it too. I'll be watching for your speedy recovery. Keep us posted.
