I screwed up my carb count yesterday but purely by accident. I got this salad at work with what I though had chunks of pomegranate in it. Turns out it was some kind of red corn!!! It was delicious. Very different but as far as figuring out the carb count, corn has 12 varbs in half a cup. I didn't log it until I got home today and was very surprised at how fast that added up. Of course, as a rule, I don't eat corn on Atkins but after I bought it, I didn't want to waste it. So no visit from the whoosh fairy today! lol I have off three days for my long holiday weekend. I hope the weather cooperates so I can get my garden in. I really have a lot of housework too. A woman's work is NEVER done. "I hate housework. You cook, you clean and six months later you have to start all over again!" (Wish I could take credit for that but it was Joan Rivers.) Ithink I'll make rhubarb pies today for the family. My mIL brought me a huge bag of fresh stuff two days ago and I didn't have any time to do anything with it. My husbands sweet tooth is overactive and he is just dying for a pie. I spoke with my brother last night. Trouble on the homefront. They are in a custody battle over their daughter. Ugly stuff. I went online and sent him a toddler bed, a carseat, sheets, and a baby mattress for his house. He spent all his money on a lawyer. Prayers would be helpful if anyone is reading this.
