I LOVE potatoes...I try not to go overboard with them. I don't think I could give them up lol! :p

I also miss the potatoes, rice and pasta. But they plow the carb count way up. Going to try cauliflower and see if it kicks the craving.

So far it hasn't been to hard. Peanut butter pretzels instead of a few cookies for night snack. My first goal is to get off insulin shots and dropping the weight will help. I'm counting carbs but still find it incredulous that I can have a 24 oz porterhouse but only a half of a potato. LOL

I learned how to make low carb honey mustard sauce the other day... I'd give anything to find a low carb BBQ sauce (that actually tastes good!). I live in Memphis... I can't eat my BBQ without some tasty sauce!

Jess I haven't tried any low carb BBQ but have been putting a little Frank's Red Hot on them(0 carbs) Also Heinz makes a reduced sugar ketchup that isn't too bad 1g sugar per tablespoon.I Was thinking of mixing the two together and trying it for BBQ.
