SherrieC's Journal, 02 December 2014

Finally went and had my nerve test done for my leg. OMG did those shocks hurt, made my fillings want to fall out. The doctor finishes and says to me, there is nothing wrong and everything looks good. So I ask, why does my leg cramp up when I walk? He says it is the spinal nerve that is contracting or something like that, plus I should loose some weight to release pressure on my back. WTH, anyway, guess I will just continue on with life and deal with the pain until it gets unbearable. Have a wonderful and blessed day everyone.

I have something like that happening to my upper right leg. i get weird painful cramps and then numbness if i'm standing on it for any length of time. I had that nerve test done 2 years ago and he couldn't find anything wrong either so I'm still suffering from it...

Cramps are the pits...I get them in my feet and legs frequently but I think it's due to medications, could be nerve stuff in my back I guess. Anyway, I hope it gets better for you. Try to look at it as an incentive to keep losing weight if that is helpful.

Ahhh, the dreaded nerve conductivity test. Would you consider chiropractic adjustments or physical therapy? Even massage therapy.

I sorry Sherri, I hate incompetent or not so swift neurologists!!!! Chiropractic & Physical Therapy or Orthopedic Docs may help....Sometimes it takes a multitude of docs to figure out whats going on. That's why they call it practicing medicine. Ok I am done ranting. Have a great Day.

I totally understand your frustration. After months of tests and wearing a leg brace I named "Bruce," the podiatry dictor I was seeing told me everything was fine and there was just something like a pinched nerve causing the pain and numbness. He just sent me home. I did OT for months after in hopes I would be better. Recovery has been so slow. I'll be taking all of the comments here very seriously. I might start going to a chiropractor too. Best to you, Sherri. I feel your pain!
