I got a Whitman's Sampler Sugar-free box of chocolates as a gift and I ate about 10 pieces of it tonight. I'm not feeling too good about that right about now.

The gifts that were chocolate are hard in some ways because 1. They were a gift, 2. They taste nice, 3. They just sit there, begging to be eaten..

Give to local soup kitchen or shelter or ask Salvation Army. Somebody needs it more than you. Or me.

It's so hard because they were gifts from family and friends. My only thought is that at least there's 2 of us sharing everything.... and maybe I can stretch it out over the next few months?

Worst case scenario, I eat my half and gain 1.6lbs. (5547 calories)...

When we get something we don‘t like - especially some sugary junk from my mom - we chuck it. No guilt !!

2/3 of your options have to do with self discipline. People won’t know you threw/gave them away and I’m sure if they knew they would not judge you, they would understand . Get rid of them, gift or not, it’s not worth it. You need to be disciplined. If you can’t trust yourself to not eat them then off they go! Let family and friends know you don’t eat candy next year or sometime during this year. You’ve worked so hard, don’t let this trip you up now!

Next year, certainly telling everyone NO CANDY

Unless it's homemade, five it away or toss it. if you pour raw chicken blood over it on the garbage, you won't crave it. consider the candy on that table poison.

What i typically do, since my fam never gets me candy, is I stock up on halloween candy then i'll have at most 1 pc a day to keep the choco craving at bay. not everyone can do it, but it helps me. after all, chocolate doesn't go bad. i still have choco from 2 years ago in my last stock up.
