I had a "real" meal last night and enjoyed it! Stayed very reasonable with portion sizes...ok I did have 2 slices of homemade bread. I'm astounded at the numbers, now that I've loaded the meal into the system! That's a lot of calories & a lot of fat! 20 years ago I could eat like that (and do seconds) and never gain an ounce. But I'm not 25 any more...my activity isn't what it was back then and apparently my metabolism isn't either. I'm glad I had the meal, and I'm glad I logged it. I'm not going to swear off that type of food but I know that eating that way as a lifestyle isn't for me...not if I want the lean, healthy body I've been reaching for. I think my Mama was right...you can't go back. And I'm learning to be ok with that.
