Hey All - Feeling really good this morning... nothing a good night's sleep didn't help with!

Dreading the scale this morning... ate too many almonds last night. Was so totally in the mood for just about anything - good thing there was nothing around here!!! So, almonds became the soothing snack of choice. I guess that is a good thing...

But to think that stress, my emotions, and all the mental work I have put into making changes - and then to feel so utterly weak last night - it was a little scary. I know for a fact had their been 'high carb foods' hanging around... this would be a confessional of deep and utter regret this morning!

Will need to think about how to better handle life's issues - and plan ahead... oh, like I haven't said that a million times! LOL!

Time to focus on making me happy once in awhile. (not happy with food) but the inner happiness, the fulfillment part, the joy that puts a smile on my face when I am cleaning or grocery shopping... Feeling a bit like a young Mom home w/ toddler's again... kinda of isolated, and alone.

Will call a girlfriend and see if we can get out together this week ??? That could be fun!

Paula, it sounds like you have already planned ahead by not having those foods in the house in the first place! You might have over done the nuts but it sure is a better choice than eating high carb foods like chips! Glad your feeling better today! I just read yesterday's journal! Big hugs

BIG RED FLAG WAVING TODAY!!! Just weighed in ... knew it was going to be water retention (those stupid nuts!) 145 !!! That's my limit ladies and gentlemen - so today is WATER, WATER, AND MORE WATER... and so is the rest of the week! Why do I do this to myself? Still??? I knew when I was eating them that there would be a price to be paid. Just pisses me off that after this long I am still manipulated by my emotions! (stupid emotions). Throwing away the nuts. They're not welcome here anymore! Need to make friends with Mr. Broc and Mr. Cauliflower again... my new BFF's ... :)

And before anyone says don't worry about it... blah, blah, blah ... This is MAINTENANCE in motion! Way tooooo easy to just constantly 'justify' wrong behaviors! This was foolish... and now I will fix it! Period. Dot. End of story!

Had a great workout ... 35 min's on the treadmill w/ 2 1/2 min changes between speed/incline ... 3.8-4.2speed and 2.0-7.5 incline. WHOOHOO! Breakfast was 2 scrambled eggs (w/a splash of water), 1 tsp onion, 1tsp of bacon pieces ... YUM!

Paula, each day presents it's own set of challenges and from what you are saying you did exceptionally well last night even though you may be feeling a little squirrley about it lol. Bravo for your choice of almonds as your body appreciated them much more then some empty calorie thingy. TOWANDA!!!!
