Fake weigh in. I am officially struggling with my emotions again over the youth group decision. Letters have gone out to parents/kids to nip rumors before they even start. We've gotten feedback from a few parents about it. Which makes me dread facing them tomorrow and though it is a decision we felt God leading us to, it seems like 8 months too early. It has effected my dreams....nightmares, my thoughts, my spiritual soul feels drained. I went to Lifeway, a Christian store and wandered around watching for what I felt God was directing me. I found Beth Moore's Bible study...the audio part and 12 small summary booklets on "When Godly People Do Ungodly Things"....I am here to tell you, there could be no better "HELLO" than that! I have been listening to it and it is just what I need to hear. It's bad when you don't even respect or want to see the pastor because he did you wrong. He promised better communication, he promised we would work this thing out...and he lied, throwing the program director under the bus. She in turn thru the pastor under the bus and pretended she didn't know what we were talking about. We expected this behavior from her, but never the Paster. It is hard, you know. And I am physically taking it harder than my husband. Perhaps it is due to I consider the youth group our kids and we have been forced to give them up. Our foster period is over. It is heart wrenching as I know it will never be the same friendship again. The kids are going to be angry, sad and confused, and how do you explain the whys. Hope you all have a wonderful Sat. We are meeting mom for breakfast. Got off my no caffeine, no overheating, avoid sugar, avoid enriched/refined items. Back to school today!
