TXSnowman's Journal, 01 September 2014

Still nursing a damaged trapezius. Hard to move my arm or neck. But I did do some walking today, although, it was only a bit over 3 miles and I didn't carry the 60 pound pack. I also had to delay the end of week 3 and start of week 4 of my Power 90 program. As soon as I can use my arm and neck again, I think I'll just re-do week 3 and pick up from there.

I got invited to do the Brain Power 5k in Austin next Sunday. It sounds like fun, so I think I'm going to sign up for it. Except for a dinner theater night out with the wife on the 13th, we don't have any real plans until the end of September. However, then it gets interesting. I leave at the end of September through the first week of October for an elk camp in the mountains of New Mexico, home for two weeks and then back to elk camp for another 9 days. I get back on November 1st and the wife and I fly out on the 2nd for a convention in Fort Worth. When the convention ends, my wife will fly home, and I'll fly on to Detroit for 8 days before flying home. Then I'm home for a week before we head to South Carolina for 9 days to visit my son and his family for Thanksgiving. Once we return from there, we'll have 2 or 3 weeks of down time before my oldest daughter flies in from Ohio for the Christmas holiday.

After that, its a straight run with no time off until the end of April.

Have a great week everyone.

Thanks, Jen. The shoulder is about 90% recovered. Pretty much back to full use of it. Hoping to stay active through the end of the year despite having a crazy work schedule this year. Typically, I don't work very much between May and December, but this year, I've had to work most days every week. My employees typically only work during tax season, but If this trend continues, I'll probably have to hire someone to work year-round so that I won't have to...lol.
