I am 50 yrs old going onto 51 in January. I have 3 children aged 20,18 and 12.I work full-time,very long hours and mostly sedentary. I was always active especialy in endurance sports, love swimming, ran 2 marathons but sustained a foot injury and it has somehow become chronic... the weight piled up and whilst i was still fitting in my usual clothes they started become tighter and had to move up size, sometimes even 2...i love my clothes and how i looked 3 years ago and am now very determined to get back on track and lose the extra weight.

Vegan Protein Alternatives and Recipes for Vegetarians-without Protein Powder
have you tried milled flaxseed, hemp and chia seeds - they are all excellent protein sources. Peas and broccoli are very high in protein. I'm vegan and i don't take powders... not even spirulina or any of the green powders. I take at least one green juice (which i make myself) daily, a simple veg soup when i'm cold and fruits. it's important to take your greens to balance out the acidity in our bodies, the greens make it more alkaline...this is what i am concentrating on at the moment.
