Yesterday was the last day of a four week elimination diet. I did reintroduce oats on Thursday with no reaction. Yay! Today starts the real introduction process. I'm starting with milk. I have my fingers crossed. Weight loss has been a beneficial side effect. I'm pain free, itch free, congestion free, my psoriasis is gone, my mind seems to be clearer. It hasn't been easy, but I would recommend an elimination diet for anyone who has chronic health issues that aren't being helped by other therapies.
Our holiday is stormed out. We need the rain so I won't complain. I'm gearing up to work on products for this year's "Creative Hand" show & sale. It would be nice to have some spending money for Christmas.
Have a great week everyone. Ta!

I am so glad the elimination is working. Good luck figuring out the bad triggers. I'll keep my fingers crossed. Sandra

You are so right! It can be really eye opening to discover food that you thought was fine, if not healthy, was making you sick! Glad that so far you are doing well. And good health is the best motivator for avoiding foods that also interfere with our weight loss. Great work!

Great that you are now figuring out what foods may cause the immune issues - for some people even corn can bother them much less wheat, dairy and gluten.

Well done on the elimination, Johanne. Very smart of you.

Just a heads up that reintroduction can be the hardest phase of the diet. You are essentially still on the elimination diet, but bringing in potential triggers. So you may have some bad reactions, and your weight loss may stall or even temporarily reverse when a bad actor comes in. Hang in there. It is worth it to know what is causing you to feel lousy, and be able to get rid of it.
