Good morning all! Just about time to move the car to the garage, don't need any more parking tickets. Work load is pretty slow this week, maybe lots of folks on spring break with the kiddies. I was able to run 2 miles on the treadmill yesterday, I didn't die! In reality, I was at 150 beats per minute and I was able to control my breathing. took about 1 1/2 minutes for my pulse to drop to normal zone. I had plenty of energy to do some reps on the cable tower. Big difference from when I was about to fall out just doing the EA Active "biking" and running. The new EA Active actually tests how long it takes you to get your pulse into normal range by having you run in place until your rate goes to 140. Seemed like then, I wasn't getting into normal range even after 3 minutes.

Congratulations on your run! My running always goes down in the winter because I loathe the treadmill. One positive thing about it though, is that I find if I've been practicing running x amount of miles on the treadmill and reach it, that once I go outside and run for real I'm running x amount of miles substantially faster than my treadmill time, and am actually able to add on another mile or so that I was too tired to achieve on a treadmill. I think I take short and choppy strides on a treadmill, but I'm not sure. I've asked some friends who run and they have similar experiences. Congrats again!
(By the way, I'm 5' 5")
