I love roasting mine on the barbecue with this new variety I often just start peeling with a knife get rid of this skin and easy to slice but with my new variety I will probably be doing some canning some of them way out at 7 lb but they are so done pretty as soon as I slice One open I will post a picture

Yours is probably much younger. We have old ones you'd an axe to hack. They store well. Not cook friendly. In one case I threw the how thing in the air fryer to soften it up.

these will work in the spiralizer, but if you encounter resistance, stop. they can also bend the blades. you have to use the crook, not the body, and you do have to peel it.

ACBelle, you can put winter squash in the microwave for about 3 minutes then let it cool enough to handle - this will make it easier to slice.

Rm once I oven roasted my butternut squash with the skin on....i just soaped and washed the outside of the squash thoroughly, cut it down the middle and scooped out the middle, I sprayed the pan and the squash with non-stick spray, used lots of herbs on the inside of the squash and set it to bake in the oven, it was super delicious😋😋😋😋.
