Enjoyed a great hiking vacation with friends. We stayed in a cabin at Cooper Spur on the slopes of Mount Hood (Oregon). Food worked out great, we cooked our breakfast and packed a lunch, and enjoyed dinners on the restaurant patio. LOVED the great hikes! Trails were challenging, because higher elevation, and lots of rocks, elevation gain and loss because, well, it's a mountain.
First photo is the historic Cloud Cap Inn, built in 1887 near Elliot glacier at about 6,000 ft. elevation. My favorite trail (Cooper Spur loop) started near here.
