FitOKay's Journal, 18 June 2014

We hired an attorney today to help with filing for the eviction. We tried one last time to talk to our tenant. He actually had a uhaul at the house friday, saturday and sunday. Which is why we didn't go to the attorney monday we thought they had left (they called us told us they had a uhaul and were moving). We went to clean up today and they were still there and the uhaul was gone.

I honestly think this guy is a con man and psycopath. He tries to twist everything around to make it anyone elses fault. There is no part of me that can understand this acting and way of being. We didn't even do anything wrong except be naive and give the benefit of the doubt too long. We still recognize that is our own fault and we put ourselves in the situation for someone to screw us over. No they shouldn't have, but we are responsible for it being possible. I don't get this screwing another over then trying to find someway to twist it around to be anyone elses fault. Something has to be seriously off in the person's head. Also, just saying... but this is why people never cut other's breaks. The people who would get conned.

Anyways, there is nothing more I can do from my side- it's up to the attorney to do what needs to be done legally and we just have to see what happens.

Not the sort of troubles you needed, but home it all goes more to plan now you have attorney in place.

good luck! that's a really tough situation to be in; hope your attorney can get it worked out!

Well damn. Obviously I hate the fact that it came to the point that you had to do this. I'm really glad though that you've taken action as quickly as you have. I'm like you -- I just don't understand the mentality of people who KNOW what they're doing and just keep trying to get away with more and more. And then blame their problems on someone else. Fit, I really hope this comes to a VERY FAST and positive conclusion for you.

I feel for you, that's tough when you have to go thru that much trouble to get the crazy one out. Be careful in dealing with him. Be as nice as you can be when talking to him when you are far away from the idiot yell and scream all you want. Better yet the attorney can handle it for you

Yep... be care of those crazy's... some of them don't even have to take responsibility for there actions in a court of law. Sad the way people take advantage of good people. That's why good people are so hard to find these days!!!

Char60 said something that I totally agree with. If he calls you at home (and I'm guessing he will!) don't engage. Just refer him to your lawyer. I know you and hubby already have your approach covered but thought I'd mention it.

Thanks everyone. Char and Vickie, I totally agree and thanks for reminding us. From now on everything is through our lawyer- we did everything we could not to get here- but here we are so I'm done trying to work anything else out. I agree Christina- I will never look at the idea or comments about how the world would be a better place if we all just helped each other out the same again. The issue isn't that people don't help each other out- the issue is that people scam and con and teach other's not to help.
