So grateful it has finally cooled off enough to hike, at least early in the morning.
We had 10 days of horrendous heat, including breaking the all time record for hottest temperature in our city (108 degrees F)

Early morning hike at Shevlin Park, along Tumalo Creek in Central Oregon

Totally empathize living in the northern part of the Willamette Valley ... We hit 110 for a couple of days ... 🔥🔥 Stay cool 👍

So hard to believe the temps! I lived six years in Eugene, Oregon and never saw anything like that. So glad for you that temps are moderating! Love this beautiful stream.

I have been to Tumalo Creek when I went to Oregon a couple years ago. Last summer I was suppose to wander up there for 3 weeks but Covid got In the way. This year other issues are putting a damper on vacation plans. The beach is still here— I’ll take it.

Glad it cooled off a bit. Are there wildfires in your area?
