27 June 2021
I wrote some aggressive goals in my bio and did a before/after simulation with www.modelmydiet. I am eating far less than I should but I trying to make two up-coming laparoscopic surgeries successful and safer. I don't want Doctors to have to cut me open because there is too much fat in the way. I am also avoiding a gall bladder attack.
193 pounds to loose in 101 weeks equals almost 2 lbs/week. But much more aggressive loss in first 6 months till end of 2021 with 2.8 lbs/week.

Do you folks think these goals are safely doable? Or am I setting myself up for failure?

You can certainly do this! A goal of 2 lbs/wk is a safe, healthy rate, and a reasonable goal! Lots of support and encouragement from the FS community will be coming your way. Good luck 💕

You can do it!! Took me a year & 5 months to lose 100lbs on a healthy plan but keeping it off part of the goal. Feeling confident in this cause took the time to lose slow & gradually. Good luck🍀

I believe you are my hero right now. Way to go. I will be here. The journey is the most important part not the outcomes. I look forward to seeing your check-ins 💜 You got this!

make sure to treat taking vitamins like as a ritual. Also as long as you don't get disappointed on occasional set backs (like I used to do, which resulted in starting to eat because I thought I have failed in keeping up with my goal) you can easily do it. suggestion: look into Intermittent fasting, it may not be for everyone but it is working like magic for me (I keep my calories under 800-900 daily).

Can I ask what this app is that you used for the before and after?

WOW! Thank-you all for your very supportive comments and suggestions. I am very motivated. I have lost and gained weight too many times to count in my lifetime, but this time I have a medical team supporting me: a Cardiologist, a Cardiac Electrophysiologist Surgeon, an Internal Medicine Surgeon, a Registered Nutritionist/Dietician for an intensive 1 year plan (starts July 20, 21), and also you great folks on FS. How could I possibly fail??? I know I will have plateaus and set-backs, but no matter what life throws at me I am not going to give up.

TimVale: I will add monthly targets. And when you wrote "Treat each week, each day, each meal one at a time", I got really happy. 1 ice cream cone weekly. 1 ginger cookie daily. 1 piece of dark chocolate after each meal. That's what you meant...right?😉

caroleenaPablo: I hope I won't need knee surgery as well. It is arthritis in my feet, knees and hands. It is the reason I am not very active yet.... it just hurt too damn much right now.

Liv Lite: I think we may be twins born 10 years apart! We appear to have a lot in common. I am going to follow you closely.

Soudabe.Z.: Thank-you for your suggestions. I have been taking Vit B12 & Vit D for a few years as blood work showed I was lacking. Before I start any more I will wait for the regime the dietitian will start me on on Jul 20,21. Maybe she will suggest intermittent fasting as well.
