The last two weeks have been hectic, so I'm honestly surprised that I still lost! My dad has been in hospital for two weeks, and I had to go home to make sure my mom and brother were taken care of. Given the circumstances, I was unable to calorie count or make healthy choices, and it was stressing me out. To say that I was scared to weigh myself after returning to res is an understatement. I was so scared of gaining everything back and having to start over, this time with less motivation.

Sometimes shit hits the fan unexpectedly, but how you handle it in the present sets the tone for the future. I'm making a conscious choice to stay on top of my calorie counting and gym goals. Being reminded of my family history with illness and seeing my dad so sick and weak reaffirmed my decision to take control of my life and work towards a healthier version of myself.
