** I just read this, it makes sense to me **
The rule of thumb is eat breakfast like a king, lunch like a prince and dinner like a pauper. And snack in between on nuts, grapes, whatever you like. By the time you're ready for bed you should be fine.

I do a version of this. I do NOT like to eat breakfast and I certainly can't always eat a "big" breakfast... so... that is either my prince or pauper meal (I often just drink a diet breakfast shake). Lunch is definitely my biggest meal of the day most of the time, and I eat light AND EARLY for my dinner. Usually works for me. I go to bed about a pound heavier than I wake up most mornings.

Personally I have a nutrient dense smoothie for breakfast, a filling lunch usually soup or leftovers, fruit as snacks, workout days a peanut butter sandwich on the way, a good dinner. Mine doesn't fit that plan. Working fulltime means food gets worked in around that schedule. 1/2 hour lunch means quick and microwaved or a salad.

It's basically saying, eat most of your calories during the day when you can burn them off, which is a good thing. But I think the most important thing is burning off more than you take in. I know if I have brunch with eggs on Sunday, I won't eat again till dinner. Whatever works!

Probably a good thing to do if you can.

Easier said than done but it IS an ideal way to keep in mind. If we could somehow figure out a way to start the day at a pace where the Feast of a King/Queen was possible(with the prepping & cooking & actually having time to sit down to enjoy it) then to get on with our day so at lunch we could again do the same (for a Prince/Princess-just not as elaborate) then *get back* to our day & still feel capable of carrying out the tasks without dozing off, maybe by dinner time we would be eating as Paupers/A person without means of support except from charity. :D If you think about it,the world in which we live doesn't lend it's ways toward helping us lead an ideal life. It is aggressive & hostile in it's manner of dealing with those who go against it's grain. If we are to be successful in having a life that we desire,we must find *that* way without expecting too much reliance on the commercial, political & yes,sad to say, even the religious systems that surround us. THAT being said,IF you find a way to do that,PLEASE let me know & I'll be right there with you!
