I think you have to find whats right for yourself.. I myself can't go more than a day or 2 without weighing because somehow I tend to backslide if its not in front of me. I don't get upset at daily fluctuations like some do.. and I recommit to this WOE every morning. You'll find what works for you!

As long as you can ignore daily fluctuations you can weigh-in as often as you like. I weigh in either once per week (on the same day at the same time) or once every two weeks. You will find that if you weigh in every day your weekly average will be a loss, but you may show random gains and losses throughout the week because of multiple variables.

I'm weighing in once a day, helps me keep my focus on what I'm doing right or wrong. If I don't move it today I think about changing something so tomorrow I can see a little improvement.

I guess I would recommend to do whatever motivates you. When you gain weight does it motivate to work harder or to give up? It motivates me to work harder so I weigh in every morning. If it discourages you, you might not want to weigh in every day. Different personalities think differently so think about how you think and do what helps you best. There's no one "right" way to do this.

well i was weighting ones a week at weekend, so sometimes it is changing from Saturday till Sunday and I get demotivated because i tried and get tired of not eating and than the result is none...so i'm thinking what the hell if I'm not eating and having the same weight than I'll eat what I miss and there is chance of losing motivation for me... so I don't now yet what works... but I'll find the way.. THanks a lot guys for sharing with me your experience!

I weigh every day in the morning after I get up just to see what affects me. But I really go by what did I lose this month. It looks a little better that way and I also think it is more accurate!

A good way to do things in the beginning: once you figure out what you want your diet to be like, use the food journal for the next day to plan out all of your meals for that day, and follow your journal rather than recording what you eat as you go along. This works really well when you are just starting out, and you will evetually learn to do it without the journal.

I weigh daily also. It gives me immediate feedback when I lose focus, and motivates me to get back on track before the damage is demoralizing :)

As you get closer to you goal, back off to once a week, for losing at that stage is small and there will be days when no weight is lost. Daily feed back of no weight lose will cause negative feeling.

I just started out not long ago - but I have done it twice a week. Monday is my official weigh in day, then Thursday or Friday so I don't lose track of my goals over the weekend. Good luck!!

I weigh myself every day. If I don't lose on the scale, I just take my measurements to make me feel better. Sometimes our loss is in inches, not in pounds. Good luck to you!
