I have been having a hard time getting enough calories in lately. Not eating enough is just as bad as overeating!! I still sometimes think since I didn't eat that I will wake up and the scale will be less. That used to work in my 20's but now I gain when I don't eat. I put on two pounds because of it but I will not add that to my weigh in. Today I will try to eat more and get in at least 1200 calories.

I have the same problem. I'm not on a specific diet. I eat a primarily plant based diet but do eat some meat, poultry, and fish. I try to keep my calories between 1200 & 1400. Though many day I don't get to 1000. I've spent a couple weeks trying hard to add foods to bring it up, mostly I end up feeling uncomfortable. Still trying to figure out what to do. Also i'm wondering how it will work once i reach my goal weight, since what i'm currently eating is more than enough.

Any time you're having a hard time getting to your daily caloric needs, have two tablespoons of Peanut Butter. It's only 8g of carbohydrates, it delivers a bit of protein, it only has about 3gs of sugar and it also is a great source of "good" (monounsaturated and polyunsaturated) fats. Not to mention as all of us know from childhood, IT TASTE AWESOME. Peanut butter is actually a very healthy food as long as it's not abused ;)

Hey I forgot to say....... My point is that it will supply you with 190 extra calories if you're low that day.

The fats are only good for you if it doesn't have palm oil added. The palm oil mixed in messes with the other fats- sorry not a chemist so can't do the technical on that.
