12.00
- Omelette with spinach
- Green tea

Worst. Idea. Ever. I had to put loads of cheese on it to cover up the taste :') It looks delicious on pictures on recipe sites but mine just looked like... Slimy spinach.

But yay, I'm losing weight again! I don't want to get too excited though as these fast drops don't last more than a few days. :p

13.00 Coffee with a liiiiiittle bit of milk (x2)

14.00 Apple with peanut butter

15.00 Bacon bacon bacon!

00.30 (at night) 1 cup of whole milk

03.00 (at night) Shoarma: ordered a dish with chicken, salad, and fries, but didn't eat the fries

(Is it safe to eat canned sardines every day? And what about canned tuna? I also have alaska pollock in the freezer here, would that be safe? And are all fish equally good to get your omega 3 fats?)

Ahahah I like spinach but it's possible that it's not so good cooked that way (I've never tried it heheh)

Sorry your experiment with the spinach omelet didn't work out. I use frozen chopped spinach and stir-fry if first until it is well done before I add it to the egg. Kind of time consuming so I only do it on weekends. As for fish and Omega 3's, not all fish are equal. If you Google that you can get a list. Some fish also have less pollution (think it is a combination of their diet and location) - you can get a list on line for that as well.

I love spinach omlettes - did you use fresh baby spinach? I usually quickly pan cook it with mushrooms, chopped onions and a little butter then fold it within the cheese omlette - delicious. Slimy sounds like you used 'canned' and yes, I agree... that with eggs doesn't sound appealing to me. As for sardines or tuna every day ...follow the 'everything in moderation' if you can ... anything in too much abundance, even just water, can be hard on the body. I have read some reports that say canned fish has more nutrients because it is canned 'whole' (like salmon planks) w/the bones, etc., but I prefer the taste and texture of frozen filets over canned and there's less sodium.

In reference to FullaBella's comments - for sure, canned spinach would certainly create a big slimy mess! YUCK!

I love spinach omelets . It's difficult here to get good fresh spinach. For omelets I use frozen in the bag not the brick kind cook it just a minute in the microwave till it's thawed and warm -- it has already been partially cooked. Squeeze the liquid out (add that to my stash for making veggie stock) a bit of sautéed mushrooms or onions adds to it if I have them. A tiny sprinkle of freshly grated nutmeg, a bit of cheese I like muenster. Canned fish I only buy the kinds with no bones-simply cannot stomach eating the bones. The tuna and salmon in those plastic packages often have better flavor. I used to keep a couple of those in my desk at work when I was on Atkins. I buy iqf salmon fillets 3.5-4 ounce servings by the case at a restaurant supply. I also always have another case of either swai or tilapia in my freezer. Great for quick meals as they take no time to thaw in a bit of running water or if I bake them just stick them in frozen.

OK - don't know about the rest of you but now I know what I'm having for breakfast!

I love spinach omelets too. You need just enough but not too much and I melt a little cheese on it. Yum! Fish you need to check for mercury levels. Some are safe to eat every day, others are not.

I usually get my spinach fresh but already washed. Washing vegetables is a nightmare for me lol.

That is a great question about the canned fish. There biggest problem with it, from what I know is if the cans in question have a film of BPA on the inner side (the side in contact with food). Some countries have abolished BPA in cans but I don't know where the situation is right now. I can't tell whether the cans I used have this BPA film or not. If they do, it's very well stuck to the metal surface lol :P As for omega-3 enriched eggs read this: "...The question: Are omega-3 eggs really better than regular eggs? Or is this just a marketing gimmick? The Answer: Eggs labelled “omega-3” do contain these fats, which many people associate with good health. But depending on which brand you buy, they might not have the type of omega-3 fat that’s linked to brain and heart health. And the actual amount of omega-3 fat might be considerably less than you think..." - source: http://tinyurl.com/qz9f9dz

It appears, from what I'm seeing that the only country which has abolished BPA in can inner linings is Japan. :P This matter has been "latent" on my mind and I'm always a little worried about it each time I eat canned sardines but I guess I have been running on wishful thinking :P in terms of it being safe...

Anything's better than a standard junkfood diet ^^

That is definitely true! :) I've tried doing a very limited research on BPA yesterday, and it seems that it is still used :P. Which is worse? Not having the vitamin D and the omega-3 or having it with some BPA in the mix? lol :D

You can always get fresh sardines but you'd have to cook them in a way you won't destroy the omega-3 :) probably in the oven at the lowest setting...
