Worked part of yesterday in field, missed doctor's appointment. Met up with friends had a few cocktails. Breakfast was oatmeal, tea, fruit. No lunch. Doctor called and informed me that I am a Diabetic. I am numb...I started to eat better before I got the news. This is going to be a LIFE-STYLE change. I will beat this with diet and exercise....Pray for a Sistah.....

Diet Calendar Entry for 22 January 2014:
1853 kcal Fat: 73.72g | Prot: 158.41g | Carb: 146.11g.   Breakfast: Orange, Lowfat Plain Yogurt, Egg White, Banana, Roasted Broiled or Baked Chicken Wing (Skin Eaten), Green Tea. Lunch: Denny's Sliced Tomatoes (3 Slices), Trader Joe's Boneless Beef New York Strip Steak, Fresh & Easy EatWell Turkey Lasagna, Progresso Traditional Split Pea with Ham Soup. Dinner: margarine, Yellow Sweet Corn (Kernels Cut Off Cob, Frozen), Cooked Green Peppers and Onions (Fat Added in Cooking), Baked or Broiled Fish, Cooked Spinach (from Frozen, Fat Not Added in Cooking). Snacks/Other: Cucumber (Peeled), Turkey, Low Fat American Cheese, Orange. more...

You can do it! Take it one day at a time. Be proactive! Learn as much as you can about nutrition and what you can and cannot eat. There is a great diabetic magazine with super recipes. They look so I good, it makes me wanna buy it, lol!
