Day 4, and I've lost two pounds. Amused that the program tells me this is too fast -- fair enough, but I suspect I'm not going to sustain this rate. And there will be plenty of ups and downs, I'm sure.
My goal plan is essentially primal-ish, but can be summarized quite easily: no sugar, no fructose that doesn't come in the form of actual fruit, no high glycemic index items (so no grains, no wheat, no potatoes.) I'm limiting my alcohol intake to red wine and straight spirits, in moderation and not eaten with food.

That Youtube video was the start of a major epiphany for me. Understanding that processed fructose is a poison has, at least for this week, done more to curb my cravings for sweet than years of dieting ever did.
