13 days till we go to Michigan!
It's crunch time!

I wonder how many other people are "starting over" today?
I'm sticking with it! If all this candy becomes too tempting, I'm throwing it away!! Better in the garbage than in my belly! :)

Looks like the chocolate may be making a trip into the trash can. :/

i am not eating well so far. the day's not even half over. i tend to overload the carbs when i haven't had enough sleep. nothing satisfies my appetite. it's been a rough re-start, but i'm still trying. i need to get that protein back up. that may also be why i'm snacking so much. i may have to take a trip to the store and i think i'm going to get some slimfast drinks. i don't eat much for breakfast, and i know i'm supposed to. i feel like i am setting myself up for failure if i don't. so i'm thinking i can have my meal in a drink. i should also stock up on some nuts and maybe some 100 calorie snacks.

i'm not sure how my carbs, proteins, and fats are supposed to be broken down, but i definitely know i'm not on the right track.

Brenda, a couple things that work for me: Make sure your carbs are whole grains. They will fill you up more. Crackers just don't fill me very well. Fresh fruits and veggies and dried as well are also awesome for snacks as opposed to pre-packaged snacks. Ideal breakdown should be 50% carbs, 25% fat(no more than 30), 25% protein. Also at least 20g fiber, but that is minimum. That means tons of fresh produce! Keep your chin up. No binges. That is what I'm commiting to! :) <3 ya

Aldi sells rice cakes for $1.50/package and with a thin layer of PB is yummy and pretty satisfying!

We're out of fresh fruit right now. I need to go shopping, but had a lazy day instead. I really needed it with the boys. But tomorrow for sure I am getting back on track. Going shopping in the AM and planning ahead! :) I've been having trouble with my right knee today. I'm hoping it'll be atleast a little better tomorrow so I can use the elliptical. Thanks for the breakdown of carbs/protein/fat. It helps to put things in better perspective. I forget throughout the day that it's not just a low cal thing, but a HEALTH thing. So, I'll be more conscientious from now on.
