Here are a few critters I saw on my walk in southeastern Idaho today.

1) Mountain Cottontail (Sylvilagus nuttallii)

2) This shy chipmunk was hiding from me in the bushes. These chipmunks are the smallest chipmunks in the world.
Least Chipmunk (Neotamias minimus)

3) American Goldfinch (Spinus tristis)

Awww cute!!! I just love the chipmunk!! I wish I could just send you a picture! You'd be proud of me. I got a picture on a male Goldfinch yesterday!!! They are pretty unusual here, but a pair came to my feeder.

I sent it. 😁 I do love to see the pictures on your website. That desert 360 photo can really help me imagine what it is like there. I havent seen every photo, but I'm working my way through videos right now!

My internet connecting is extra slow here, Melissa. It may take a bit to receive your photo. I hope you enjoy your visit to my website! I'm glad you like the 360° photos. My favorite is the one I took at Arches National Park of Double Arch. I'm hidden in that one, and a few others, although I was a lot fatter then. Here's a link if you'd like to see it. Try the FULL SCREEN button! http://www.lonniehuffman.com/dubarch.html

Well, you are so popular that your mail box is full! 😁 I will look at the arches picture! I watched the hail storm! Good gosh it broke your windshield wipers! I'm only imagining what the outside of that vehicle looked like! I've sure never seen anything like that!!!

Those finches are beautiful, One. I wish I would have taken a better picture of the chipmunk, but he wouldn't come out and pose for me.

My mailbox is fixed, Melissa, so either address will work now. Sorry for the confusion.

Cute animals! My neighborhood is squirrel & chipmunk central. the chipmunks have borrowed in all my flower beds killing plants & shrubs by the roots. I'd rather have deer. I did see a racoon at my neighbors yesterday which was a big surprise. 🙂💛

I enjoy chipmunks too but maybe still bitter. Lol when I worked nights they'd sit outaide my window and chirp all friggen day.

Sounds like a great place for an animal lover to live, aintgotaname, but I can easily see where that would be annoying! The squirrels in my old neighborhood used to behead the tulips I planted, and they destroyed the attic in one of our rental properties once. Cute, but no fun!

Oh gosh! One! When I worked the nightshift I lived directly across the street from the playground at an elementary school! Everyday they'd turn those kids loose on that playground and it sounded like all of them were right in my bedroom. I feel ya on that, buddy. I worked nights for a year and a half while living there.

OK! The 360 photos are awesome! I think my favorite place is taggart lake. I have never been there, but it looks almost familiar... Like another place I have been in BC. And... Are those cactus trees really common in the desert? That one in your 360 has like... 20 "arms!" I would think it was so special they would have a fence around it and a fancy sign with its personal name.
