Sam Loves Ernie's Journal, 08 August 2013

Ok so today is payday and tomorrow morning is grocery day. It will be my first time spending time in the produce section. I mean actually spending time in the produce section. Not a big fan of salads and stuff. Not going to worry about salads. I'm thinking I'll be better at just making veggie plates for me to eat off of. Going to spend some time looking around and seeing what there is. Also need to get some supplies to make "grab and go" bags of veggies to take as snacks to work and stuff. Exciting stuff - not.
Anyways, my first "me" goal is within sight now. I want my weight to start with a ONE and not a TWO. Less than 10 to go until I am there. Hoping it will happen before the end of the month. That would be great.
Really worked my butt off at the gym yesterday. Was there for 1 1/2 hours. Did a total of one hour on cardio and did my sets on the weight machines. Felt the burn still this morning. Going to go walk the fair today with my BFF and our niece, Bridgett (she's 8). She's going to keep us running all afternoon for sure. I'm also going to enjoy two of my once a year at the fair only treats - Fried bread with apple butter and curly fries. Eating a garden salad for lunch and a veggie platter for dinner to help balance it all out.

I don't spend much time in the produce section in the moment....only because I have so much fresh from the garden :). I do believe you can educate your taste butts!! Give it a go, I just love all crunchy fresh things, or a really colourful stir-fry with different coloured peppers, courgettes, carrots, mushrooms & tomatoes :)
