Again, I express my gratitude to the friends I have in this community! It is so nice to hear that other people have stories similar to my own, and have figured out a way to move forward in a positive manner.
I will be there for my friend. I think TwoSlow was onto something about all of my friend's material thing and her desire to accumulate them the result of something else "missing" in her life. And I know what it is~ a man. She has too much of her happiness tied up in being in a relationship (and she's not right now).
I'm really enjoying this greek yogurt. The brand I've been eating is Chobani. It is really good! And so much protein. I think I'm going to get a 32 ounce container of plain Stoneyfield yogurt, let it drain through a cheesecloth, and then add fresh fruit to it to both cut the cost down of this stuff, reduce the sugar, and to up the nutritional content.
Jessy said something a while back on her journal that eating well is a gift she is giving to herself because she deserves it. It really resonated with me. I packed a lot of fruit today. As she mentioned, I will treat myself to fresh, homemade desserts (or rich Italian foods!)on occassion but I really want to get away from my dependence on junky processed foods.
Due to Moose's journals I've learned to practice kindness to myself. Today when I got up (and I know my weight is up but honestly I haven't stepped on the scale and the red light on here is flashing Weigh in NOW you bad girl) I still looked at myself in the mirror and didn't feel too bad about my appearance.
I'm going to stick law school out. I'm not sure if it's what I want to do with my life, but at this point in time (more than halfway to the finish line) I'd probably regret it in the long run if I didn't complete the degree.
My sister in law is doing better! Thank you everyone for asking. She is home from the hospital and hit 36 weeks on Wednesday. So if she can just make it for one more week she will have a full term baby. :)
My brother and his wife Claudy are visiting this weekend from Virginia. I'm excited to see them! We are going to Iron Hill for lunch in my town and then to El Vez, a great Mexican place, in Center City Philly for dinner tomorrow night. Salem and I have a lot of cleaning to do tonight in preparation for their visit. I'm just glad the weather is going to be fairly nice (NO RAIN!) b/c it seems it's yucky everytime they make the trek to PA.
Gratitude: 1) FatSecret community 2) F-R-I-D-A-Y!!! 3) Fun plans for the weekend
TGIF all! Enjoy your day. :)
