Great news to report. I had an nice 79 minute New Year's WO, and glad to report that in nearly three weeks time I've watched my resting heart rate go from 55 bpm to 49 bpm as of this morning, with a steady decline (42-45 is where I like to see it--albet zero is pretty bad). Whenever I go to the docs and they see my HR and BP they get concerned until they hear about my WO routine. I'm climbing the summit, with or without you, we each need to go it alone, yet with the encouragements of others. Cheers all.

Yeah good work! I’ve always loved cardio but know I should set my sights on weight training. Past running and great job for cardio keeps my HR pretty low too. At 58 I went in for a regular checkup with a RHR of 47. Doc says I’m running some tests... Long story short cardiologist says I got a healthy ticker! RHR now is commonly 49-50. Cruised your posts for a minute and dang you’re a busy man! Best of luck in achieving your 2020 goals!

Yup 60pack, it's hard for the medical community to believe us old timers have such a low RHR, but it shows with hard work and perseverance we ain't done yet.

True ripsic, we have to take responsibility for our own health. Keep up the decent work you are doing.
