moondove's Journal, 09 March 2013

A few days ago I began taking a handful of over-the-counter health supplements and the day after I began, I broke out in hives. I am so much better today, but the benadryl I am taking to clear up hives sure makes me woozy, so can' go to the city and get my mani and pedi and have highlights put in my hair. Maybe tomorrow my hives and itchies will be completely gone.

GYN recommended: Estroven (I may have gotten the wrong formula, but he said I could find it at Costco, and they only had one type.)

I also began taking: Nature Made Daily Diabetes Health Pack along with TruNature CoQ10.

I have a feeling that it was the Estroven that caused the allergic reaction. Once my hives are gone, I plan to start adding back in all except for the Estroven and see what happens.

I'm so excited about something else though... I ate ALL of my points yesterday for the first time since I have began WW (aT a little over 1,800 calories), and this morning, my blood sugar was normal (92) (I haven't taken metformin for lowering blood sugar for over a year)! Yay!!! I haven't been able to say that in awhile. I didn't think I would be able to do WW because of carbs needed to do the program. Thought for sure it would cause blood sugar to be high. Not the case! But, I don't eat alot of the 'Free' fruit, still minimize that.

Beautiful sunny day with a slight breeze here in northern central California! Hope you all are having a terrific Saturday!

To answer your question from yesterday - I suggest you Google it to get all the info. But one thing that I like is it is not made out of horse urine! Another plus is that it comes in patch form. When you take it orally you have to take a massive dose because your liver filters out much of the hormone. But by using the patch you can get by with a tiny, tiny dose because it is absorbed directly. Plus the patch form doesn't product "markers" for inflammation.

Bren, Darn it, I haven't been able to go to the city and get my mani yet. Besides other hive spots on my body, I have two swollen hive spot on cheeks, on either side of my nose. I look really funny. :)
