Second day of fat fast accomplished. 178.9 but I'm guessing with only a 3 lb loss in two days is water that I'll gain it back. My descending colon is still cramping and my intention is wavering. But I went to a reception for the opening of an exhibit last night and I drank sparkling water instead of champagne and ate one small goat cheese filled mushroom cap. I was well within 1000 calories and it was 91% fat for the day. I am dying to go have the low carb plate at the local diner for lunch (salmon, spinach, asparagus) instead of more cheese and nuts but I will try to hang on. I'm about 40 on the ketostix.

Thanks, Sunkeeper! I really appreciate the encouragement. Just logging my breakfast brie I saw collards as a possible choice and something inside me went "GREENS!!!!". Man, I will be glad when I am back on real food.

You are doing really well. I did the fat fast for 10 days, about a month ago. And I remember being amazed that I was craving vegetables.
One word of advice, that you can either take or ignore at will, when you do reintroduce vegetables, do it slowly to minimize the potential weight gain. I only put a pound back on - but it did reset my metabolism and I'm now losing at a steady and regular pace.

Wow, 10 days! I thought it was a 3-5 day thing and got unsafe thereafter. I hope the reset works for me though. I will be careful with re-entry though.
