Something to be said about having a lot of Ands in your diet. When I break down a meal on here with a lot of components the calories add up (big salad is a good example). Chicken and cheese and veggies and dressing, and guacamole and sour cream (looking at you QDobA).

Same can be said for macros. Yes, pizza has it all carbs, protein, fat. Add it all up... boom! Calories get out of control.

Then the liquids. A couple sodas, Frappuccino, beer, drinks. Add those to a meal and look out!

Those ands are tricky. Even if it's all healthy, too much is too much.

I don’t think I’ll put the spices in. I leave a pretty big buffer for my calorie deficit.

I don’t count spices at this point

Exactly I just said the same about Chipotle. When you start calculating it up and add cheese and guacamole and sour cream it does NOT match the preloaded burrito bowl for example. Well over 1000 calories.... I’m good lol unless it’s a OMAD and some light snacks and ..... 🍻

Sauces like chipotle are different since they contain high calorie stuff, I do count those calories

I typically don’t count spices either except for cinnamon and Tumeric only because they are apart of my every morning 2-4 cups of coffee 😊😊🤪

I definitely count sauces, salsa, salad dressing, etc. Those calories add up! Cinnamon? How much do you out in? It’s 6 calories per teaspoon 😁

This is why I count calories. Macros are integral to strong muscles and health, but calories are KING.

Phil... I do believe that we make eating right too hard at times. The excuses we make when things aren’t going our way are amazing. Cut out the stuff you know is unhealthy, eat well, exercise, and find your happy place.
