shiny50's Journal, 16 July 2019

This is not food related. I am sooo worn out! I have been in pain since January. I can barely walk, let alone think about exercising. I am exhausted all of the time. I think the constant pain is wearing me out. I don't know how much more of this I can handle. The pain in both knees is debilitating. I cannot walk around the store. I have to use those scooter things at Wal-Mart....how humiliating. I am really down today. I literally cry out in pain when I go from sitting to standing. I cannot sit down on anything low or I physically am unable to get back up. I am so over this. Okay pity party is over. Well except I think I may need a good cry later. I am so frustrated. Anyways, I normally am a see the glass as half full kinda girl...just having a little breakdown I guess. No feedback is necessary, I just needed to VENT!

Been there with knees and aches. You have to get rid of pain causing inflammation in your body. Try foods that fight inflammation . Research. Pineapple is one. You must not stand or sit too long or your knees bind up. Choose your height of seating. Chair and table rather than booth and take a break from sitting - go visit the restroom. I take pms pills at night.. reduces pain and relaxes tired sore muscles , leg cramps. In the morning I take 2 acetaminophen. You must stay on anti inflammatory on a regular basis or you will require more when you restart and build resistance to them. If my knees pop out of place- severe pain - get a good knee sleeve with support type strips that are on each side of the sleeve. This is where your mind must be AHEAD of your body. Think your step before you take it . Don’t change directions you are walking.. stop then turn. Continue to work on weight loss. I did go to a ortho Dr. Just arthritis. Could get injections for knee pain. But in my mind pain means be careful . Shot would not treat the problem. I feel for you.💓 Get a good joint supplement . I found a very good one. I order on line . It’s Jointprin . It’s natural premium grade 100 % pure ingredients. Which comes to eating organic. Happy to say Dillion Kroger Walmart and Aldies are all carrying organic frozen canned and fresh. Start replacing what you eat with organic.

Thank you for your kinds words. You are right Adef...I definitely remember to be grateful for what I have. To make things worse, I was in a pretty bad auto accident last night which totaled my car. Now I've added to my list of pain complaints. I do believe diet can definitely effect our well-being, but I really think I have injured myself here. My guess would be a torn meniscus on the right knee and possibly a stretched/torn muscle or meniscus on the left as well. I will know once I get the MRI. I get my blood checked pretty regularly, so don't think I'm anemic, I just think that the constant pain can really wear a person out. I avoid any type of opioid pain medication by choice...I am a recovering addict and do not want to risk relapse. The only time I took stronger pain meds was the first few days following surgery. Thank you again for all your advice and ideas. I think I will need to look at my diet because my joints all over are pretty sore. I just need to get through my immediate issue before I can focus on much else.

@Jaime - just now seeing your comments and can definitely get some pineapple into my diet lol. I will also take your other suggestions into consideration. My doctor ordered meloxicam twice a day following the accident and that seems to be helping the knees as well. Ibuprofen and naproxen were not touching the pain.

@Jaime - I have talked about it in other entries, but not here. I had surgery in Feb. of this year for a huge meniscal tear on my left knee that I injured in Dec. of 2018. That knee was slow to heel and I was still having occasional problems with pain and swelling. The end of last month I went on an activity call "gravity ropes" as an entertainment center in Fort Worth. The end of the activity had a zip line that let me in a complete squatting position with no support to get up. I struggled for several minutes before finally being able to stand up. This whole standing up process was excruciating on my knees and the pain has been severe since then. Had I known the ride ended in this position, I never would have went.

I know that pain all too well! Have you tried CBD? It’s pretty damn magical, and the CBD gel I received as a free sample with my cartridge order is amazing! Wish I had discovered it long ago.

jcmama77 - Thank you for asking. A little residual neck pain but otherwise, feeling better. I guess when it rains, it pours, lol. I did get a new car out of the deal so that's one good thing!
