Hello...

Yesterday was one of those crazy days.
First I had my counselling appointment which I had to face some pretty hard facts, and accepted the offer of extra support. Also my counsellor is leaving, I finally found someone to connect to and she's leaving. However she is setting me up with the lady who is taking over her postion. I was honest and told her that I will attend one meeting and if I don't have a level of comfort with her then I would not continue. My explanation for this was that why should I take up her time if I will not speak honestly with her and someone else could benefit more from the time.
Here's the other thing I realized yesterday is that although my brain misfires I still have a strong instinct. That instinct is what subconsciously I depend on and never made the connection that I did. (wow lightbulb moment)!!

Anyways after my appointment took a trip downtown to do some errands, banking, market etc. I found some kick butt deals too. Have to love the discount table. After about 5 hrs came home and chilled out. But I wanted to get more done so back out I went to the local shops around home.
My food intake was excellent too, almost too good! I even had a fight with the munchie monster and won!! Yeah me!
The rest of my evening was spent with the boys and again the interesting conversations flew around. BTW my boys consist of my boyfriend and two of his buddies. His one bud calls me mom! And that makes me smile! (see I found a reason to smile!! Yeah me!!)
Now for today the plan is to go and hang out with mom for awhile, then come home and do a few more house chores. Oh the fun of it all.

:) I hope you will be able to continue having your counselling, but I know exactly what you mean about that comfort level and having to have it. I just wrote about it actually. I have a very hard time opening up to others. Part of it is trust, but the rest of it relies on my instincts about good character and making the right call, judgement wise. The discounts sound pretty awesome too, I think shopping is a pretty therapeutic thing especially if you are finding awesome deals :D sounds like you have all the right reasons for smiling today Pam!

Don't forget sometimes we don't like a counsellor because they get past our fortress defenses, I hated mine for many sessions then I realised I hate everyone that gets past the fortress!!! Good luck with it, just keep on keeping on and you will get there in the end. Wish I could find some bargains!
