There's not much better in this difficult process than to have someone notice our hard work. Glad Daddy sees yours!

You're doing beautifully!! Be thankful for the continued 1 lb weekly loss... how I yearn to have that back. Feckin' conditions, anyway. isnt the fat fast for people who have managed to lose weight in over 4 weeks? If you are losing a lb a week, that is really great. Just remember you are doing that in spite of the chicken wings and Guiness!
Daddy, lil boy..how shhweeet! (tho it is possible he just saw you standing sideways and being old and all....??) LOL

Your dad's 83 and my mom's 83! Wise, wise, people they are! Isn't it great that they noticed that we lost a few pounds! :) I know what you mean about the slow loss. I feel the same way. I see others losing 4, 5, or more lbs. in 1 week and I say, Dang! Why can't I do that? But you know, they say that if you lose it more slowly it usually stays off! So we got that going for us....lol. Glad you finally got to have some Guiness! I bet it tasted soooo good! And, I don't know why, but "finger of cheese" sounds so funny to me...LOL Have a great day :D

The Fat Fast is not for people who are able to lose weight on this plan. Please read the book, folks. I know some people do it to jump-start ketosis or after a long plateu for a couple of days, but actually doing it for a long period of time is not what it is intended for. Dave I'm sure you're losing more inches than pounds, so isn't that what counts? Don't worry about the slow loss. I lost 17% body fat and 2 dress sizes in the first 3 months and only lost about 10 lbs. You lose fat and gain muscle on this plan, if it is being noticed, you're getting great results.

I think the big drops are really the people that just started induction. I believe everyone's in the same boat after that. I'm pretty sure I haven't lost more than a pound a week since induction. If you decide to do it though, more power to ya!

Ah, but I'll bet that Guinness tasted like a slice of heaven to our Davee boy! There's a lot to be said for some occasional "soul food." ;-)

Congrats on Dad noticing! You're definitely doing something right if you are getting the recognition! Don't be too hard on yourself and don't do anything too drastic before you really need to. BTW, thanks for the comment on my journal-- glad I'm not the only one with 'voices'-- really feel like I'm going crazy sometimes! :)

First of, congratulations on the VISIBLE results--the best kind!! The hard work and the sacrifices are paying off! Wait, did I say "sacrifice"? (The Guinness-chugging notwithstanding !:)
I think sararay said it well..I recommend you keep doing what you're doing on the food-front, but if possible, try to up the ante on working out. I noticed that I was able to break through a couple of pleateaus in the past by bumping up the exercise--that really works! Also, do free weights...You're doign great! And even though you're an UGGie, we love ya :) Don't be doin' anything drastic to hurt our favorite Davey :)
